Bug #1253: Poor performance of 3.2.1 with iTunes 8.1

Description

After stopping iTunes with Synergy, then using the play key sequence to start iTunes playing again, there is a five or six second delay before iTunes starts playing again. The rewind and forwarding keys seem to function normally, as does the stop; it's just the start that's lost its responsiveness.

    I just updated to iTunes 8.1 and I can't reproduce this problem. Stopping playback and restarting it is instantaneous for me (both with hot keys and with the mouse).

    I'd suggest trying some of the troubleshooting techniques mentioned here to rule out local factors such as corrupt preferences and the like.
