Description

Haven't tried sending email from the general purpose instance yet, so that might need it too, but at least in the case of the Rails instance messages aren't being accepted by AuthSMTP with an error like this in /var/log/maillog:

Feb 18 23:35:54 domU-12-31-39-09-42-07 sendmail[29969]: STARTTLS=client, relay=mail.authsmtp.com., version=TLSv1/SSLv3, verify=FAIL, cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA, bits=256/256
Feb 18 23:35:54 domU-12-31-39-09-42-07 sendmail[29969]: o1J4ZrKY029967: AUTH=client, available mechanisms do not fulfill requirements
Feb 18 23:35:54 domU-12-31-39-09-42-07 sendmail[29969]: AUTH=client, relay=mail.authsmtp.com., temporary failure, connection abort

In the AuthSMTP control panel I'm seeing error message like this:

Envelope From Address of <apache@domU-12-31-39-00-E9-02.compute-1.internal> is not authorised - go to: http://control.authsmtp.com

Seems to be related to the other instance though, not the Rails one, judging from the host name.

Tricky little devil, needed to install the cyrus-sasl-md5 package to get it to work.

I'd skipped that one on the Rails instance as I thought it was only used by the Cyrus IMAP daemon, which isn't installed or needed on the Rails machine.
