Description

This commit squished an undesirable behavior (failing to open when a shallow window like the MiniBufExplorer is current) but also broke the standard opening behavior for normal windows.

With one normal buffer active and a split, on trying to open a file with Command-T opens it in the wrong side of the split. Not sure yet if this is 100% predictable, but it seems to occur fairly often.
