Description

when growl notifications are turned on, it displays a notification when plays a song, that is very useful, but when it displays the pause notification... we dont need to know when we pause the song, because WE paused the song.

Disabling the pause notification is a good idea or, like with all the other growl-supported applications, putting the options of notifications in the Growl pref pane is a better idea. (Example: in the synergy's growl pref. pane, the options to turn on or off the play, pause and rating notifications)

Thanks for the suggestion. I think the best way to handle this would be a series of checkboxes and the user could indicate which state changes should trigger a notification.

I've now added three checkboxes to the Growl preference pane in Synergy Advance ("Playing", "Paused" and "Stopped"); only "Playing" defaults to on. These changes will be available in the next release (version 0.5).

If you wish to confirm that this bug is fixed you can try out one of the Synergy Advance nightly builds. As noted in the nightlies page, these are automated builds which represent a snapshot of the current development status. They are not tested and may have issues of their own; the latest official release (0.4) is still the one that's recommended for daily use.

    More information on nightlies here:

Concretely, I believe this issues is fixed in revision 429 (link follows), or any later revision:

Going to leave this ticket open so that we can track the implementation of the feature in Synergy.

    Adding "fixed-in-prerelease" keyword.

    (In reply to comment #5)

Going to leave this ticket open so that we can track the implementation of the feature in Synergy.

Actually, there is already an open ticket for this (feature request #497) for Synergy, so I'll close this one when 0.5 comes out (at some point in this month, the final date isn't known yet).

  8. Greg Hurrell 2007-05-15T12:21:19Z

Now that 0.5b is out removing "fixed-in-prerelease" keyword and marking as FIXED/CLOSED.
